Healing Balm

Makes 4 - 1.7 oz | 50 ml jar

INGREDIENTS:

1/3 cup jojoba oil
1/4 cup arnica oil
1/4 cup shea butter
1/8 cup coconut oil
1/8–1/4 cup of purified water (based on desired consistency)
3-4 drops comfrey oil
1 500 milligram bromelain capsule
1 teaspoon bilberry extract
5 drops frankincense essential oil
5 drops lavender essential oil

DIRECTIONS:

1.   Place the jojoba oil, shea butter and coconut oil into the double boiler or heat safe dish and hot water. Bring it to a point where it is getting soft and stir with a whisk so that you continuously blend well.
2.  Once well, blended, transfer to a small mixing bowl.
3.  Remove from heat and let cool.
3.  Add the arnica oil and comfrey oil.
4.  Add the bromelain and bilberry extract.
5.  Blend the frankincense and lavender essential oils into the mixture.
6.  Once ingredients are blended, slowly add the water and continue to blend well. If you like the mixture thick, simply add less water. Try blending just a little at a time to help get the right consistency. Use as much or as little as you want.

Use two to three times daily until the bruise has diminished. If you notice any irritation upon use, use less frequently or discontinue use.

ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS:

Arnica works due to the helenalin, a natural anti-inflammatory agent. Not only does it reduce the discoloration of bruising, but it reduces the pain, too, as arnica is commonly used for sore muscles.

Coconut oil is great for helping to remove impurities and toxins from the skin and can help heal any damaged or bruised skin.

Comfrey Oil has anti-inflammatory properties. The leaf, root and root-like stem are commonly used to make medicine and has been attributed to its high content of allantoin, a substance that promotes new skin cell growth.

Bromelain comes from the pineapple.  It contains proteolytic enzymes that help reduce the inflammation caused by bruises.

Bilberry, similar to the blueberry, contains antioxidants that will also reduce the swelling and appearance of bruises.

Frankincense has been used since biblical times and helps reduce pain and inflammation caused by bruising.

Hydrating Face Cream - Normal, Dry, Sensitive & Mature Skin

I’m in love with this lotion! It is a thick, creamy, luxurious, and good for my skin! It is has the consistency of that whipped yogurt or my homemade whipped coconut body butter, but it absorbs more quickly and doesn’t feel oily. I have been putting it on my face and my complexion is definitely clearing up and getting less dry!

INGREDIENTS:

1 tbsp bees wax
1/4 cup shea butter
1/4 cup almond oil
1/4 cup aloe vera gel (add more if required)
1 tbsp vitamin E oil
10 drops geranium essential oil
10 drops frankincense essential oil
1 tbsp arrowroot flour (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1.  In a microwave safe bowl or in a double boiler, gently melt bees wax, shea butter, and coconut oil. 2.  Place melted oils into a blender or mixer and allow to cool completely (this is the really hard part)! 3.  After the oil mixture has cooled, blend oils, slowly adding the aloe vera a bit at a time.  Too much will make it lumpy.
4.  (Optional) Blend in arrowroot flour.

Now you have lotion! Remove lotion and place in a small container with a lid.
