How to make Coffee Oil

To make your own coffee oil at home to be used for skin and hair, you can use one of these 2 methods below:

Coffee Infused Oil (cold infusion method)

1 c. pure olive oil or coconut oil
3/4 c. ground coffee

1. In a jar, combine all ingredients. 
2. Put the lid on and shake well. 
3. Store for 1-2 weeks or up to a month, shaking every day or two. 
4. At the end of two weeks, strain through a cheesecloth or coffee filter.

To Make Coffee Infused Oil (Hot infusion method)

4 tbsp ground coffee beans
8 tbsp pure olive or coconut oil

1. Combine ground coffee beans with pure olive oil or coconut oil in a pan.
2. Heat it on over low heat for about 30 mins or few hours, stirring occasionally.  You can also use a small crock pot and heat it on low for few hours, stirring occasionally
3. Strain the oil using either cheesecloth or a coffee filter.

This oil can be used as a light and moisturizing face or body oil, a nourishing hair treatment to add shine or a delightful massage oil to treat stretch marks and cellulite. Use it as an eye oil to lighten dark circles, brighten and firm the under eye area. According to your preference it can be refrigerated or warmed before use.
