Homemade Foundation Powder

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup arrowroot flour starch similar to corn starch (a thickening agent), but without the GMOs.  Add more or less depending on complexion.  This is the base of the powder.
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp bentonite clay
10 drops vitamin E oil
12 drops lavender essential oil

The amount you use of each ingredient will greatly depend on your skin complexion.  I have fair skin so this combo works for me.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Gather your ingredients and a non-metallic bowl (Bentonite Clay should not come in contact with metal).
2.  Add arrowroot flour, cocoa powder, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, Bentonite Clay.
3.  Add liquid vitamin E, lavender essential oil (or another favorite skin-safe essential oil).
4.  Mix all your ingredients in the bowl.
5.  Test the colour by placing a small amount on your face (or arm) with your finger or a brush. It may take a little tweaking the first time to make the perfect shade for your complexion.

Note:  Store your foundation powder in a small container and use a dry sponge or brush to apply.  You can also use this foundation powder with or without a liquid foundation for a lighter coverage.
