About the Ingredients

Witch hazel is a natural astringent that minimizes the appearance of pores, reduces inflammation and skin irritations, decreases oil and redness, and leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed.

Tea Tree Essential Oil is the powerhouse ingredient in this toner.  It penetrates deep into pores and unblocks sebaceous glands, kills bacteria, and reduces inflammation.  It dries out pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and other blemishes.

Juniper Berry Essential Oil has a wide variety of antioxidants (polyphenols, flavonoids, bioflavonoids, and more) to support healthy skin.  Plus it inhibits inflammation and kills the bacteria that blocks pores and causes pimples.

Lavender Essential Oil calms and soothes skin, reduces redness, and has potent antioxidants for healthy skin.

Bubble Bath

About the Ingredients:

Liquid Castile Soap is a coconut-based soap that is non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin. It’s gentle enough to use on baby’s skin, yet great for cleaning skin naturally.

Vegetable Glycerin is a natural moisturizer and gives this homemade bubble bath the sudsy, bubbly effect, as well as lather to use to wash the skin.

Essential Oils provide a natural, non-toxic fragrance and help to soothe skin.

Activated Charcoal Facial Cleanser

Activated charcoal is a great natural remedy for ridding the body of toxins.  It can be taken orally also to remove toxins like booze from your tummy, turn it into a paste and use it to help whiten your teeth and so much more.

It is incredibly porous and works by pulling molecules, atoms and ions towards its surface and sticking to it. This process is called adsorption; not to be confused with absorption.

For the skin, activated charcoal seduces all the nasty bacteria and toxins away from the skin, holding tight onto them until washed away. The result – a clean, clear, bright complexion.

DIY Face Serum

I am someone who suffers from adult acne, I've tried many things to get rid of it.  What I've learned is that oil-based serums are actually wonderful for all types of skin ailments, including acne.

Oils protect our skin. It's important to keep it clean, of course, but don't feel like you need to scrub your face till it's tight and keep it as dry as possible to avoid breakouts. In fact, that really does much more harm than good. Face oils & serums are a wonderful way to cleanse, heal, moisturize and protect your skin.

Best of all, making facial serum is really easy! All you need is a carrier oil (or oils!) and essential oils (or oil!) of your choice.

Summer time brings on the bugs.  DEET is the main ingredient in most insect repellents but it’s not good for our health and can be particularly dangerous for use on children.  Natural products are better.

Here is a simple recipe to make anti-itch stick that works fast.  Bug Spray made with all natural ingredients to repel bothersome insects

1. Mix all ingredients and shake well.

Shake well before each use.

Beard Oil

Beard oil can help transform a beard from unruly to ruggedly handsome!  As you know, beard hair is typically quite coarse, men often experience itchiness, dandruff or “beardruff,” and even in-grown hairs on the delicate facial skin underneath.

A full beard makes it difficult to access the skin so common skin problems like dryness, acne, or inflammation can be compounded.

Daily application of beard oil, followed by combing with a beard comb, will smooth the hair and encourage it to grow and lay in one direction.

About the ingredients:

Jojoba – is similar to your natural human oils and is easily absorbed by your skin
Sweet almond – keeps inflammation at bay, which particularly helps prevent in-grown hairs
Cedarwood – helps prevent acne
Lemongrass – invigorates, like a good aftershave
Peppermint – invigorates and refreshes the skin

Makes one 1 oz bottle dropper.

INGREDIENTS:

17 ml Organic Jojoba Carrier Oil
5 ml Grapeseed Carrier Oil
6 ml Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
1 drop Tea Tree (Melaleuca)
1 drop Cedarwood
3 drops Bergamot
1 drops Peppermint
3 drops Lemongrass
3 drops Sandalwood

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all ingredients in a 1 ounce amber glass bottle with a dropper. Gently swirl to incorporate.

To use: Depending on beard length, drop 3-5 drops in one hand. Longer beards will require more drops but remember, a little goes a long way, so increase amount by one drop at a time. Dip fingertips from the other hand in the oil and rub oil all over beard. When all the oil has been applied, use fingertips to massage oil down into the beard all the way to the skin. Use a small comb to smooth down the beard.

For best results, apply daily to freshly washed beard that has been toweled dry.
